Dassault Falcon, the business jet division of Dassault Aviation (which also makes military aircraft like the Rafale fighter), sees an uptrend in the Thai corporate jet market, driven by surging demand for executive travel and for medivac, coast guard and other special purposes.
He estimated current market demand at 20-25 new executive jets a
year, rising to 50-70 year if the political and economic environment
gets on the right track. Asian demand for new business jets will grow at an average 5-10% a year, depending on the region's economic situation, he said.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand's (CAAT) board has agreed to revise the criteria for military pilots looking to make a switch to commercial airlines, said CAAT's director Chula Sukmanop.He said military pilots and those who fly for state-run agencies will be required under the new rules to complete 200 hours of flying commercial transport planes to obtain a licence to fly commercial airliners.
The current rule requires that applicants seeking to fly for a commercial airliner clock have logbooks with 1,500 hours.

If you’re just coming around to the idea of battery powered cars, prepare for the next onslaught, because the future of flight is electric too. And just as with ground vehicles, nothing pushes along new tech like some sex appeal. Tesla did that for cars, with sleek looks and ludicrous acceleration. Now, Eviation Aircraft wants to do the same for the sky.
At last week's Paris Air Show, the Israeli company unveiled a prototype electric light aircraft, a private jet without the jet engines.
Eviation says that because it designed the Alice Commuter plane to be all-electric from the outset (instead of converting an existing model), it could reimagine key components, like the design of the spindly looking composite airframe, and placement of the motors, without the usual constraints of heavy engines and fuel tanks.
