Cambodian airports' 'Smiling Day'

Cambodia’s three airports today join France’s Vinci airport network in organizing ‘Smiling Day’, the company’s flagship event for customer care, loyalty-building and passenger services. Vinci Airports, which has a 70 percent share in Cambodia Airports, is organizing ‘Smiling Day’ at all airports in its network.

Cambodia, Chile, the Dominican Republic, France, Japan and Portugal are taking part in the event in which passengers and airport staff enjoy a moment together, according to Cambodia Airport’s press release. On ‘Smiling Day’, all airport staff, no matter their job, reach out to passengers and offer them a friendly welcome, the company says.

“The ‘Smiling Day’ event at Cambodia’s airports has a special flavor. Our staff share coffee and drinks with passengers and they leave the kingdom with kramas offered to them as souvenirs,” said Eric Delobel, CEO of Cambodia Airports. Staging ‘Smiling Day’ when the Khmer New Year is around the corner adds an enjoyable, festive, and local cultural twist, with traditional Khmer bands and dances performing during the event, Mr. Delobel said.
