Thai Airways International’s network stretches from the heart of Asia across the globe and includes 12 major European cities non-stop from Bangkok. There are over 40 destinations throughout Asia and the Middle East, five in Australia/New Zealand and Los Angeles in the USA.

THAI flies 40 times a week from Australia non-stop to Thailand. There are triple daily flights from Sydney to Bangkok, double daily flights from Melbourne and a daily departure from Brisbane. From Perth, THAI has five flights a week to Bangkok, including three via Phuket, Southern Thailand's international gateway to the Andaman coast resort areas. THAI is the only airline offering scheduled services from Perth to Phuket.

THAI's International fleet comprises some of the most technologically advanced aircraft such as the Airbus 340-600 and Boeing 777-200ER. The aircraft are more fuel efficient which is ultimately good for the environment. THAI currently have an outstanding order for more Airbus 330-300 aircraft and the Airbus 380-800.

Flights from the East coast of Australia are operated by Boeing 777 aircraft whilst all flights from Perth are operated by Airbus 330-300 aircraft. In Economy Class every passenger will experience unobtrusive and individual attention. Complimentary drinks, imported wines, cognac, new-release movies and a generous 32-34 ” (81-86cm) seat pitch for extra leg room. There’s a tantalizing choice of main meals from the same kitchen that prepares dining for Royal First and Royal Silk Classes. On THAI, no one travels second class. Our Boeing 777 aircraft operate all flights between Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Bangkok and feature individual TV screens in each seatback and the latest in audio/visual entertainment on demand*

THAI’s business class, Royal Silk Class is more than a concept, it’s a promise of perfection in service, with unique THAI touches both on the ground and in the air.

Our Royal Silk Class offers maximum privacy in luxurious shell seats where you can stretch, rest, work or be entertained. The Royal Silk Class seating is used on our Boeing 777-200ER and 777-300 aircraft, operating all flights between Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Bangkok.

Features include a pitch of 61” (155cm), maximum recline angle of 163° and bed length of 70” (178cm). Seats feature a seat-back LCD screen offering a selection of 30 movies, 110 music albums and 31 games. Telephones are also available in every seat, together with PC power outlets (110V AC) which are compatible with all standard PC plugs and therefore no adapters are required. Royal Silk Class seating is also used on the refurbished Boeing 747-400 and Airbus 340-500/600 aircraft. Features include bed length 76” (193cm), a 60” (152cm) pitch, 167° of recline for sleeping, and state-of-the art entertainment systems which include a large format touch-control screen. There is a wide selection of entertainment – 30 movies, 110 music albums, 31 interactive games and information channels. For the business traveller, individual telephones and power outlets for laptop computers (115V AC) are provided in each seat. THAI’s famed Royal Orchid Service inflight hospitality has been upgraded to offer unprecedented standards of personal service with a choice of four different gourmet meals featuring the best of Thai, Asian and international cuisine, coupled with the finest wines, spirits and liqueurs.

The newly designed shell seats convert to superbly comfortable beds, with 180° of recline and almost seven feet (213cm) of space in which to stretch out, plus fully adjustable leg and foot rests. The quilts and pillows are also of the finest quality. In-seat facilities include personal telephone and PC power outlet. The latest audio/visual on demand (AVOD) system, with large format touch-control screens, offers a huge range of entertainment, music, documentary and information channels. THAI enjoys an enviable reputation for our gourmet style meals presented to Royal First Class passengers. THAI has introduced a wider choice of meals, accompanied by award winning vintage wines and liqueurs. All served on newly designed porcelain, glasses and cutlery reflecting the total effect of exclusivity.
