Worldwide Helicopter Solutions Chosen By Thailand's SFS Aviation

SFS Aviation Co. Ltd. has selected Worldwide Helicopter Solutions of Glendale, Arizona to provide on-site DDAFCS, EFIS, and WX avionics systems training at their base in Songkhla, Thailand.

SFS Aviation operates a fleet of Sikorsky S-76C+ helicopters equipped with Honeywell SPZ-7600 Dual Digital Automatic Flight Control Systems, EDZ-756 Digital Electronic Flight Instrument Systems and Primus Weather Radars (WX). The training covers operation and maintenance familiarization and is designed for maintenance personnel and flight crews. The training course also teaches problem diagnosis, troubleshooting techniques and recommended repair actions. Fundamental system understanding and communication between maintenance staff and flight crew is emphasized to help resolve problems faster and at less cost.

"We are delighted that SFS has chosen WHS to provide S-76 DDAFCS/EFIS training to their people in Thailand," said Paul Magno, president and founder of WHS. "SFS understands the value in on-site training and appreciates our "real-world" approach that provides the maintenance staff with system-specific knowledge to solve a problem logically. A solid understanding of each system function eliminates guesswork and helps isolate faults faster. Our philosophy is that nothing is learned by shotgun troubleshooting, and throwing random boxes at a problem is a waste of time and money."
