Thai helicopter crashes into river near Bangkok

A helicopter of a private firm accidentally hit a power cable and crashed into the Chao Phya River in central Thailand's province of Nonthaburi Saturday morning.

Two pilots and two other staff members of the firm, Helilux Co, exited the helicopter before it sank. They were later plugged out of water by the nearby residents, according to The Nation online.

The helicopter, Robinson R44, was shooting a documentary video for using a promotion of the helicopter chartering service, when its tail hit a power cable, causing the helicopter to spin out of control and fall into the river,

The helicopter has yet to be retrieved from the river's bed.
