Air Asia starts direct flights from Kuala Lumpur to Tehran

KUALA LUMPUR – The Malaysian based Air Asia started its weekly direct flights from Kuala Lumpur to Tehran on Wednesday.

Air Asia is a Malaysian low-cost airline. It operates scheduled domestic and international flights and is Asia's largest low-fare, no-frills airline.

The airline is a pioneer of low-cost flights in Asia, and was also the first airline in the region to implement fully ticketless travel.

Air Asia operates over 400 flights daily, with both domestic and international routes covering Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand and with international routes, primarily from Kuala Lumpur, to Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, the People's Republic of China, India, Laos, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, South Korea, Vietnam and Iran.
