Indonesian Aviation School Hopes to be a Model in Asia

TEMPO InteractiveTangerang: Transportation minister, Jusman Syafii Djamal, made official a mental and attitude training facility at Indonesian Curug Aviation School (STPI) in Tangerang, Banten. The facility is one of seven provided for the school's students.

“It is aimed to increase students' capability in anticipating the technology progress in transportation,” said Jusman, Thursday (30/4).

Head of Communication Center of Transportation Department, Bambang Ervan, the facility is to train students to be resilient and skillful.

He said that in the future, the school is expected to be a model for aviation schools in Indonesia and Asia. Many directors of airline companies are graduates from STPI. “They work at Malaysia Air Service, Singapore Airlines, and Garuda Indonesia,” said Bambang.
