Air Asia: Blog and be a pilot


So you want be a pilot? One of Asia’s fastest-growing budget airlines is giving you an opportunity!

Malaysian airline AirAsia has launched a competition, to search for a new pilot to fly their planes.

What do you have to do to be considered? “Blog. What? That’s it? Yes, you’re reading it right. Blog,” said the company’s Web site. AirAsia is asking candidates to blog why they should get the job.

The competition is similar to “Best Job in the World” and the company said 10 finalists will be selected to spend a day with pilots at the AirAsia Academy. The competition runs from April 1 to May 15th.

The airline said bloggers will only be considered if they meet the Department of Civil Aviation and AirAsia standards for pilot acceptance.

Those interested must be between the ages of 18 and 28, have a good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, be physically and mentally fit, and have good eyesight.
