| BEIJING (XFN-ASIA) - China's civil aviation sector had a total profit of 3.7 bln yuan in the first half, down 23 pct year-on-year, the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) said.|
The industry regulator did not specify the exact kind of profit, and did not explain the profit decline.
The CAAC said in a statement on its website that operating revenue for the sector, which includes airport operators, totaled 140.26 bln yuan, up 15.3 pct from a year earlier.
Overall passenger traffic grew 5.4 pct year-on-year to 91.79 mln in the first half. Passenger load factor was flat at 74.1 pct.
Cargo traffic rose 8.1 pct year-on-year to 2.02 mln tons in the first six months, the CAAC added.
